Building Safe Environments: Engaging Community Partners

The Cross-Campus Learning Collaborative for Sexual Violence Prevention connects professionals from community organizations and institutions of higher education from across the state of Rhode Island in efforts to prevent interpersonal violence. Through community connections, partnerships, and professional development opportunities, the Collaborative is able to provide technical assistance to various communities and professions to create protective environments. The workshop series Building Safe Communities: Engaging Community Partners seeks to have valuable discussions with members of our community on our collective roles in prevention. The first workshop in this series includes specific information for those within the hospitality industry: how to engage your staff in prevention and create a safe environment for your patrons. We strongly encourage restaurant and bar owners and managers to attend, though the event is open to all within the hospitality industry. The event is free. There is parking on the premises. The registration is limited to 100.
